The "Efficiency Check” is a new web app tool that supports easy product comparison, cost calculation and product selection based on a new EU product database (EPREL) which was established together with the new labelling scheme. The tool is directly linked to this database and allows to access product information for various calculation and product comparison purposes.
Key features of the tool among others are
- the indication of the current range of energy efficiency available for a specific product group and the concrete position of a product model within this range
- the indication of very efficient products in the specific product category
- calculation and comparison of operation costs for product models for the total product lifetime
- comparison of any product information stored on the EPREL database for different product models
- a comprehensive explanation of all new information elements provided with the new labels
